This is More Interior Photos of the Fisher Trail Home. This Home is 4 Bedrooms and Four Full Baths on the first two levels (3,600sf) and a terrace level with an In-law Suite (1,700sf).





The Master bath has two separate closets, barrel vaulted ceiling and an over sized shower. Although it is large it does not have wasted space.


The Master is upstairs- very common in this great elementary school district neighborhood. It was important to me to seperate the master bedroom from the hall. Here we added a master foyer with built-ins. The Master ceiling trey is a pangloss standard.


The Terrace level has a large Rec room, Media room, wine cellar, guest Bed and bath, and full kitchen.

The Fisher Trail Home

The Fisher Trail home is a favorite of mine. I designed the home after rejecting over 100 possible plans. The lot had 3 negatives:

1. Corner Lot. This means it basically had 2 front yards. The home was pushed into the corner and had little or no rear yard.
2. Height Restriction. Like most home in Dekalb county, the new infill home had a height limit of 28'.
3. Highway. The interstate is less than 300 yards away.

These issues were dealt with by designing an L-shape plan in the French Country style. The L-shape plan allowed us to create a rear yard or an outdoor Patio for entertaining. The curved stone staircase frames the private courtyard with a fire pit. This terrace level area took the view and focus off the freeway.

To achieve this courtyard the home took a unique shape that had a lot of surprises and interesting rooms. The Family Room became the leg of the "L". This gave the room three exterior walls and plenty of light. The Barrel Vault with ribbed beams made this room a favorite. The Kitchen was placed directly in front of the over sized Family Room. The room had an unobstructed span over 38'. The ceiling height change gives each room it's own identity while keeping it completely open.

The Foyer allows the guest a glimpse of the Family room while screening the Kitchen. To the right is the staircase that leads to the Raised Study. Raising the study allows the media room in the terrace level below to achieve a 12' ceiling. This also creates a 17' raised coffered ceiling in the
Study. The study has a beutiful segmented arch window unit opposite an 15' stain grade bookcase with rolling ladder.
